<p><strong>Have you ever considered helping young people change their lives around by being a great mentor?</strong></p>
<p>Enjoy the rewards you will feel by joining our mentor programme and sharing your skills and expertise.</p>
<p>Below is the suggested structure for our expert volunteer mentoring programme</p>
<p><strong>Phase 1. Direct (Month 1)</strong></p>
<p>2 hours a week for 4 weeks.<br />Give strategy, direction and specific tasks leading a sub-team of 2 or 3 young people in your specialist field.</p>
<p><strong>Phase 2. Coach (Month 2-3)</strong></p>
<p>1 hour a week and 20 minutes of e-mail response contact time per week.<br />May include practice runs, shadowing where sub teams can see your expertise in action, role play, building confidence in our young people in their roles.</p>
<p><strong>Phase 3. Mentor (Month 3-6)</strong></p>
<p>2 hours a month.<br />Hands off, reflective questions like "Have you thought about...?</p>
<p><strong>Mentor Period: 6 months.</strong></p>
